On September 17, 2015, the Restorative Justice Collaborative(RJC) was reconstituted with the participation of the California Endowment, Black Parallel School Board, Sacramento Area Congregation Together, Hmong Innovative Politics, Sacramento City Teacher Association, ProYouth and Families, parents and youth. The overall goal of the Collaborative is to dismantle the school to prison pipeline by building collaboration with teachers, advocates, policy makers, parents and youth.
The objectives of the RJC is to promote positive school alternatives and cultural competent approaches to school discipline. RJC provides parent and youth leadership training; and legal support to Districts expulsions.
Restorative Justice Collaborative meetings are the 4th Wednesday of each month.
