To celebrate Black History Month, Black Parallel School Board is sponsoring Black Parent’s Involvement Day on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Give your child the gift that will keep on giving for the rest of their lives — a visit to their school and visit your child in class.  .

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the Black Parent’s Involvement Day, a day when Black parents can/should/must either take time to visit their child’s school or make an appointment to conference with their child’s teacher, counselor or principal at a later date to discuss their child’s academic and social progress.

Please notify your child’s school before Wednesday, February 15th that you will be visiting school or sitting in your child’s class on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, or to make an appointment to conference with your children’s teachers about his or her academic progress. The Black Parallel School Board (BPSB) is a community organization developed to work parallel to the Sacramento City Unified District Board of Education. Its major responsibility is to support the educational growth and achievement of Black students.
