BLACK PARENT’S DAY
On Tuesday, February 20, 2018

 

To celebrate Black History Month, Black Parallel School Board is sponsoring on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, National Black Parent’s Day.

 

Give your child the gift that will keep on giving for the rest of their lives — a visit to their school and an observation of your child in class.  All Black parents should be at their children’s school on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, Black Parent’s Day.

 

On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, the Black Parent’s Day, a day when Black parents can/should/must either take time to visit their child’s school or make an appointment to conference with their child’s teacher, counselor or principal at a later date to discuss their child’s academic and social progress.

 

Please notify your child’s school before Wednesday, February 15th that you will be visiting school or sitting in your child’s class on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, or to make an appointment to conference with your children’s teachers about his or her academic progress. The Black Parallel School Board (BPSB) is a community organization developed to work parallel to the Sacramento City Unified District Board of Education. Its major responsibility is to support the educational growth and achievement of Black students.
